Toiling the Michiko coat....

I have finally finished my pattern and I have started toiling my coat design in calico. Here's what I have done so far.

  • I have cut out the front and back (1st and 2nd panel) coat pieces in calico.


  • I took the 1st back panel and sewed along the centre back(CB) with 1.5cm seam allowance(SA).


  • Then I took the 2nd back panel and sew along here(where my fingers are pointing) with 1.5cm SA.
 
  •  Knotch along the curve seam to give it ease.

This is what it looks like on the mannequin but you can't really see it because of the light.

  • Do the same on the other side.
