Straight and bias grain line

On my pattern cutting lesson I have learnt what is the difference between straight and bias grain line by producing two dresses, one with straight grain and the other with bias grain. I found the bias grain harder to work with compared to the straight grain because the fabric stretch and moves in different direction when sewing. In the future I am hoping that I wont be using a bias grain line because the fabric stretches too much.
