A few days ago I have received the photoshopped image of my shirt from the styling workshop that I attended. I really love the outcome of the photo's however there's only the front and back of the shirt photoshopped. This is only a quick post to show you the shirt that I have made photographed on a model. I hope you all have a great summer!!!

On the other hand I am really excited because in a few days time I will be heading off to London again to visit my relatives for a month. I will log my journey to London here on my blog and show you what I will be doing and visiting along the way. See you all guys ^_^

Monsieur Qui's illustration

For my last unit I have to experiment with some of the illustrations that I found from the internet and books from the library as part of the brief. I particularly like this illustration by Monsieur Qui that I came I cross with from the internet. I really like the contrast between the medias that Qui has used to create this illustration. Here is what the illustration looks like and the one that I have recreated.

Whitworth Art Gallery college trip.

On Thursday July 7th, about 8 of us from college went to the Whitworth art gallery in Manchester. It isn't that far away from where college is (45 min.) so it was not that boring.
I really enjoyed the trip and I have a lot of fun with the activities that we did all day. The activities were drawing, exploring the exhibition, watching movie which is part of the exhibition and loads more.
This is just a quick post to let you all know what I have been doing for the past week. As most of you, it is the start of summer so there isn't much college work to do. To everyone, have a tramendious summer and enjoy your holiday/vacation.

2NE1 - 'I AM THE BEST' outfits.

Not long ago 2NE1 has released their new single 'I'm the best' and I have noticed their unique and avant garde outfits.
Additionally, the group's silver outfit are a key point of the music video. The four outfits are fluid, yet encompass elements of each member's personal style. The silver material adds a futuristic theme to the outfits, a theme that well fits the overall style of the video and song.

Gareth Pugh is a British designer whose aesthetic has been described as "fashion-as-performance-art" and has been compared to Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
Unsurprisingly his aesthetic fits right in with the general styling and attitudes of 2NE1, making for a perfect fit.

What is most notable about 2NE1's style isn't just that it is crazy and outlandish, but they manage to make it look fashionable and edgy. What might look ridiculous on other celebrities manage to look good on them, and it is quite a hard feat to accomplish.

What do you guys think of 2NE1's latest music video style?

Soho fabric shops and Exhibition.

As I have stated from my previous post, here are the images that I have taken from my trip to London. I know there isn't much photos but I hope you like them.

These are some of the fabric shops that I have visited in Soho. I have manage to collect a few samples of fabric from every shop that I went into, some of the shop only allows you to have 2-3 samples and some as many as you would like.

And here are some photos that I have taken from the exhibition that I went to. There is not a lot of photos because the students only allows you to take photo of certain work.
