Shape development allows you to experiment ad to free your idea up. This allowed me to play around with the shape from my research and placed it on the body. At first I thought that shape development was complicated but as I got into it became more easier and natural.
This is an example of shape development in my sketchbook but it is wrong because I turned it into a garment instead of it just being a shape on a body.
Here another example from my sketchbook which is a strong shape development because I did not turn it into a garment.
